La Jolla Black Square Mosaic Effect Gloss Porcelain Wall & Floor Tile 300x600mm (Per Box of 7 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 7 tiles per box, covering around 1.26m². Each 300x600mm tile is 0.18m², so a box works out at roughly £38.25 per m² (£6.89 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Small glossy black squares, printed onto a 300x600mm porcelain tile. The effect is a mosaic of aged glazed squares, each slightly different in depth of black, without the mesh sheets and extra grouting that real mosaic needs. The gloss catches light across the grid of squares.

Black squares make a strong feature in a shower niche, behind a basin or as a border band through the black brick tile from the same range. Seven tiles come in a box covering 1.26m², and because the squares are printed, large areas go up as fast as any plain 300x600mm tile.

This is porcelain, suitable for indoor walls and floors in bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories and living areas. On a floor the gloss shows marks more than a matt tile, so it is best kept to small areas. It is a limited stock line, so order the full quantity for the job in one go.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.26 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix with a cementitious adhesive and full coverage on the back. On floors bed the tile solidly. Use 2 to 3mm joints and a black or charcoal grout so the tile joints blend into the printed grid of squares. Take tiles from several boxes across the wall.

The La Jolla gloss porcelain tile is a 300x600mm format with a brick pattern in white, mint green, jade green, cobalt blue, aqua, fog grey and black, and a squares pattern in aqua, black and a mixed blend, so one colour can run through a room or the two patterns can be mixed as a feature.
