Sold by the box – 3 tiles per box, covering around 1.50m². Each 500x1000mm tile is 0.5m², so a box works out at roughly £61.60 per m² (£30.80 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

A tile that looks like an old woven rug. The 500x1000mm face is printed with a faded blue textile pattern, worn back in places as if the fabric had aged, and the matt surface keeps it soft and flat. It is a stripped-back, utilitarian look rather than a decorative one.

Three tiles come in a box covering 1.5m². The large rectangle suits a feature wall behind a bath or bed, a hallway floor or a run of kitchen floor, and with a narrow joint the woven pattern reads as one piece of cloth across the surface.

Porcelain, for indoor walls and floors in bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories, hallways and living rooms. The sand version in the Mendocino range is the warm partner: a sand floor with a blue feature wall keeps both in the same family.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.50 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix large tiles on a flat base with a flexible cementitious adhesive on both the substrate and the tile back, using a levelling system to prevent lipping. Keep 2 to 3mm joints and offset brick bond by no more than a third. Grout with a flexible grout in a tone close to the tile.
