Sold by the box – 36 tiles per box, covering around 0.52m². Each 240x60mm tile is 0.0144m², so a box works out at roughly £54.04 per m² (£0.78 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

China is a soft, slightly dusty blue, lighter and gentler than the teal blue elsewhere in this range. The glazed surface varies in tone from brick to brick, so the finished wall has movement in it and changes as the light moves through the day.

The small brick format is suited to kitchen and bathroom walls first, with splashbacks, shower walls and the area behind a basin the obvious places. A crisp, contemporary look comes from stacking it; a herringbone gives something softer. Hallways and living areas also suit the colour.

Porcelain construction means it is rated for floors as well as walls, indoors, so a small bathroom floor can match the walls. The gloss face wipes clean and does not need sealing. Each box has 36 tiles, which is about 0.52m² of cover, sold as full boxes.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.52 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

A flexible adhesive is needed for porcelain, and floors should be fully bedded with no hollow spots. Work to a joint of about 2 to 3mm. Because the glaze varies from tile to tile, shuffle tiles between boxes before fixing rather than working through one box at a time.
