Check the length, width and shape suit your room and how you'll use the bath – single ended baths have the taps and waste at one end, double ended baths have a central tap position so you can lie back at either end, and shower baths have a wider showering area. Before You Buy

• Measure the space carefully, including the height for the taps and the position of the waste.
• Support the bath on its legs and a solid base, and check it is level before fitting panels or tiling.
• Fill the bath with water before sealing around the edges so the sealant cures with the bath at its working weight.

Looking After It

Clean with warm soapy water or a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and solvent-based cleaners.
