Description

Pressalit MATRIX Basin Unit – Fixed, Manual or Powered, for MATRIX MEDIUM, ANGLE DEEP and SQUARE Basins (R4807)

Pressalit MATRIX basin units are wall-mounted wash basin brackets made to match the MATRIX MEDIUM, MATRIX ANGLE DEEP and MATRIX SQUARE vanity basins. Each unit comes with a white installation cover that hides the plumbing, a concealed flexible feed and waste system and a shallow trap, so the finished basin looks neat and is easy to keep clean – an important point in care homes, hospitals and Changing Places toilets.

Choose a fixed-height unit, a manual unit adjusted with a crank handle, or a powered unit operated by up/down buttons in the front edge of the basin. Height and sideways adjustable versions add 500 mm of manual sideways travel. Because MATRIX brackets are mounted away from the floor, they clear skirting boards and leave room for wheelchair footplates.

Key features & benefits

  • Made for MATRIX MEDIUM, MATRIX ANGLE DEEP (right- or left-facing) and MATRIX SQUARE vanity basins
  • White installation cover conceals the plumbing for better hygiene and appearance
  • Flexible feed and waste system and shallow trap included
  • Powered units: electric height adjustment with operating buttons in the front edge of the basin
  • Manual units: height adjusted with a crank handle – no mains power needed
  • Height and sideways adjustable units: 300 mm height plus 500 mm manual sideways adjustment
  • Mounted clear of the floor to avoid skirting boards and give access for wheelchair footplates
  • Fixing bolts for the basin included; 5-year Pressalit warranty

Matching the unit to your basin

Each MATRIX unit only fits its own basin, and powered units need the basin version with operating buttons:

  • MATRIX MEDIUM – powered units (R4827000, R482719000) take MATRIX MEDIUM R2122/R2123 (with buttons); fixed and manual units (R4807000, R4825000, R482519000) take R2120/R2121.
  • MATRIX ANGLE DEEP right-facing – powered units (R4855000, R485519000) take R2150/R2151; manual units (R4845000, R484519000) take R2140/R2141.
  • MATRIX ANGLE DEEP left-facing – powered units (R4857000, R485719000) take R2152/R2153; manual units (R4847000, R484719000) take R2142/R2143.
  • MATRIX SQUARE – powered unit R4875000 takes MATRIX SQUARE R2170/R2172.

Fixed, manual or powered?

Powered units give the easiest, most frequent adjustment and need a 230 V supply. Manual crank units suit sites without mains power at the basin. Fixed units are the simplest option where one height suits every user. Choose a 300 mm height + 500 mm sideways unit if the basin also needs to move along the wall.

What else you need

  • The matching MATRIX wash basin (sold separately).
  • A mixer tap such as the TMV3-rated Pressalit RT623.
  • A drain fitting for MATRIX MEDIUM basins (ANGLE DEEP and SQUARE basins include one).
  • A mounting kit to suit your wall – not included.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fit a MATRIX MEDIUM basin with buttons on a manual unit?

No – the button versions (R2122/R2123) are for powered units only, and the standard basins (R2120/R2121) are for fixed and manual units and MATRIX supports.

Is the plumbing included?

Yes – each unit includes a concealed flexible feed and waste system and a shallow trap. You will still need a tap and, for MATRIX MEDIUM, a drain fitting.

Are wall fixings included?

Fixing bolts for the basin are included, but the wall mounting kit is not – choose it to suit your wall type.

Can someone lean their full weight on the basin?

No. The unit supports the basin plus a user leaning on it or pushing up from sitting, but it is not designed to carry a person's full body weight.
