Description
Pressalit MATRIX MEDIUM Wash Basin – 780 x 550 mm, Integrated Handrails, With or Without Overflow (R2120 / R2121 / R2122 / R2123)
The Pressalit MATRIX MEDIUM is a 780 x 550 mm vanity wash basin designed for accessible bathrooms, care homes, hospitals and Changing Places toilets. Two handrails are moulded into the front edge, giving a secure, easy-grip hold right where it is needed, and the basin can also be used as a support when standing up or sitting down.
Its ergonomic shape allows wheelchair access underneath, and raised edges stop water running over the back or down the outer sides. The basin is made from cultured marble with a high-polished, pore-free gel coating that is easy to keep clean. The MATRIX MEDIUM won a Nightingale Silver Award for healthcare product design.
There are four versions: with or without overflow, and a standard version or a version with up/down operating buttons built into the front edge for use with the MATRIX powered basin unit.
Key features & benefits
- 780 x 550 mm vanity basin with two integrated front handrails

- Tap hole Ø36 mm; choose with or without overflow
- Button version has up/down operating buttons in the front edge for the MATRIX powered basin unit
- Cultured marble with a pore-free, high-polished sanitary gel coating – smooth, non-absorbent and easy to clean
- Product capacity 180 kg; Nightingale Silver Award winner; 5-year Pressalit warranty
How to choose
- Standard (R2120000 / R2121000) – for the MATRIX MEDIUM manual basin unit (R4825000, R482519000), the fixed basin unit (R4807000) or MATRIX supports R2015182 / R2010182.
- With operating buttons (R2122000 / R2123000) – only for the MATRIX MEDIUM powered basin unit (R4827000, R482719000); the buttons in the front edge raise and lower the basin.
- Overflow – choose with or without overflow to suit your specification.
What else you need
- A bracket or supports – a MATRIX basin unit or MATRIX supports (sold separately). Mounting material for the basin comes with the bracket.
- A drain fitting – sold separately. Pressalit offers a ring, chain and plug (LA1319) or pop-up plug (LA1321) for overflow basins – the pop-up plug cannot be used with the sideways adjustable MATRIX bracket – and a drain fitting with slotted grate (LA1331) for basins without overflow. Call us for availability.
- A mixer tap – for example the TMV3-rated Pressalit RT623 or the RT624 mixer with long rotatable spout.

Frequently asked questions
Which bracket do I need for the button version?
The button versions (R2122000 / R2123000) are only for use with the MATRIX MEDIUM powered basin unit (R4827000 or R482719000).
Is a drain fitting included?
No – the MATRIX MEDIUM is supplied without a drain fitting. Call us on 0333 772 4162 and we will advise on the right fitting.
With or without overflow?
Choose the overflow version for a plug-and-fill basin. Choose the version without overflow where the basin will be used with running water only – for example where a plug is not wanted – and fit a drain fitting suitable for basins without an overflow.
How do I clean it?
Use hot water or a mild soapy cleaning agent, then wipe with a soft cloth wrung out in clear water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the gel-coated surface.
