Pressalit Mounting Kit for Aerated Concrete Wall – Choice of Kit (V8598, V8652–V8670)
Aerated concrete (lightweight block, such as Thermalite or Celcon) needs different fixings from brick. Ordinary wall plugs will not hold properly, so Pressalit make a separate set of mounting kits for aerated concrete walls. They use stainless steel bolts with special aerated-concrete plugs (FTP K 6, FTP M 8 or GB14) that grip the soft block.
Pressalit Care products are supplied without wall fixings. Choose the kit for the product you are fitting from the option list – each option names the kit, what is in it and what it is for – and use the table below to check the exact product codes.

How to choose the right kit
- Find your product code. Every Pressalit product has a code such as R9806112 or RT104000 – it is on the product label, the order paperwork and our product pages. Look it up in the table below.
- Check the number of fixings. Most kits are complete for one product. Horizontal wall track kits (3 screws) are sold per pack – Pressalit's mounting instructions give how many screws each track length needs, so order enough packs.
- Handrail tube systems built from RT3xx tube pieces need one small 4-screw kit for each wall rosette or wall mounting.
- Other wall types. For brick or solid concrete walls, choose our Pressalit Mounting Kit for Brick Wall instead. Plasterboard or stud walls must be reinforced before fitting any Pressalit product.
- Mounting kits are not included with Pressalit handrails, support arms, seats, tracks or brackets, so add the right kit to your order to avoid delays on site.

Do Pressalit products come with wall fixings?
No. Pressalit supply their Care range without fixings because walls vary. Order the matching mounting kit for your wall type from this page.
Which kit do I need for a handrail?
Straight PLUS handrails RT100–RT104 use the 8-screw kit, angled and corner handrails use the 12-screw kit, the RT136/RT138 corner shower combinations use the 16-screw kit, and RT3xx tube system parts use the 4-screw kit.
My wall is plasterboard – can I use these kits?
Not on their own. Plasterboard and stud walls must be reinforced with a suitable backing first. Your installer should follow Pressalit's load-bearing installation recommendations.
Can I order several of the same kit?
Yes – just change the quantity in the basket. This is common for long horizontal wall tracks and handrail tube systems.
