Description

Pressalit PLUS Handrail Tube System – Tube Pieces, Angled Tubes & Wall Mountings, Choice of Colour (RT300–RT363)

The Pressalit PLUS handrail tube system lets you build a made-to-measure grab rail run when a standard handrail will not fit the room – for example a long rail around a Changing Places toilet, a rail that turns a corner, or a run that has to step around a window or boxing. The system is made from the same 33 mm powder-coated aluminium tube as Pressalit's ready-made PLUS handrails, so it gives the same warm, secure grip and sits 50 mm off the wall for easy grasping.

This page lists every component: straight tube pieces from 300 mm to 2400 mm, end pieces with a wall rosette, angled corner pieces and the wall mountings and straps that hold the run to the wall. All are available in Anthracite and White as standard, with Red and Dark Blue for colour-contrast schemes (the 1220 mm and 1250 mm end pieces come in Anthracite only).

Key features & benefits

  • Build a continuous handrail of almost any length or layout from standard parts
  • 33 mm diameter tube for a comfortable, firm grip; 50 mm projection from the wall
  • Maximum load 210 kg on spans up to 1000 mm and 150 kg on spans up to 1300 mm
  • Powder-coated aluminium with polyester lacquer – warm to the touch and easy to clean
  • Four colours including Red and Dark Blue for visual contrast
  • Push-together male/female connecting joints for neat, strong joins
  • Five-year Pressalit warranty

How to plan your handrail

  • End pieces: start and finish the run with an end piece that has a wall rosette – either the "Wall Rosette & Female Joint" pieces (321–1220 mm), the "Wall Rosette & Strap" pieces (365–1250 mm) or an angled end piece (400 x 154 mm left or right, or 762 x 154 mm).
  • Middle sections: join end pieces with straight tube pieces (300, 1200 or 2400 mm, with a joint at each end) and turn corners with the 154 x 154 mm 90° angled tube.
  • Support: Pressalit require a wall mounting with strap (RT360) at every tube joint, or at least every 1200 mm along the run. Use the wall mounting with strap and connecting joints (RT361) where a support has to sit on a joint.
  • Fixings are not included. Each wall rosette and wall mounting needs a small 4-screw Pressalit mounting kit – V8615 for brick walls or V8665 for aerated concrete – available from our Pressalit Mounting Kit pages.
  • Not sure what you need? Send us a sketch with wall lengths and we will put the parts list together. Pressalit can also supply special handrail solutions on request.

Frequently asked questions

How many wall mountings do I need?

Pressalit specify a wall mounting with strap (RT360) at every tube joint, or at least every 1200 mm. End pieces with a wall rosette are fixed at the rosette.

Can I cut the tubes to length?

The system is designed around Pressalit's fixed lengths. Choose the combination of pieces that best suits your wall, or ask us about Pressalit's special handrail solutions.

Are the screws included?

No. Order one 4-screw kit (V8615 brick, V8665 aerated concrete) for each rosette and wall mounting.

Why choose Red or Dark Blue?

Coloured rails stand out clearly against light walls, making the rail easy to locate at a glance – useful in care homes and Changing Places toilets. Coloured parts may take a little longer to arrive.
