The Pressalit PLUS height and sideways adjustable shower seat hangs on a horizontal PLUS wall track, so the seat can be raised, lowered and slid along the wall to suit each person using the shower. It is designed for busy shared and multi-user shower rooms – care homes, hospitals, specialist schools and accessible bathrooms at home – where one seat has to work for users of very different heights and needs.

Choose from four models: an electrically height adjustable 450 mm seat with a wired hand control, two manually adjustable 450 mm seats (with back and armrests, or with backrest only) and a 310 mm seat with back and armrests for children and smaller adults. The 450 mm models can also be ordered with an aperture in the seat, and every seat comes in five colours.

• Height and sideways adjustable – fits to a horizontal PLUS wall track and slides sideways by hand without tools, so the seat can be positioned exactly where it is needed.
• Electric option – the 450 mm electric model rises and lowers 500 mm at the touch of a button (about 10 mm per second), so a carer can set a comfortable working height while the user stays seated. A wired hand control with wall brackets is included.
• Manual options – 195 mm of manual height adjustment on the 450 mm seat with back and armrests, 380 mm on the 450 mm seat with backrest only, and 250 mm on the 310 mm seat.
• Padded, slip-resistant comfort – the seat and backrest are polyurethane foam with a soft, warm feel and a slip-resistant surface.
• Folds away – the seat and armrests fold up when not in use to free up floor space in the shower area.
• Independent armrests – oval anodised aluminium armrests with soft non-slip grip ends adjust independently of the seat.
• High user weight – up to 200 kg on the manual seats and 150 kg on the electric seat; armrests take up to 55 kg.
• Five colours – Anthracite and White as standard, plus Red, Dark Blue and Lime Green special colours (aperture seats come in Anthracite or White).

Buying guide – choosing your PLUS shower seat

Electric or manual? The electric 450 mm seat suits settings where a carer assists and the height needs changing often or while the user is seated. The manual seats are adjusted by hand and need no power supply.

450 mm or 310 mm? The 450 mm seat (seat surface 450 x 437 mm) is the standard adult size. The 310 mm seat (310 x 365 mm) is intended for children and small adults.

Back and armrests, or backrest only? Armrests give extra support getting on and off the seat and while seated; the backrest-only model offers the greatest height range (380 mm).

Standard or aperture seat? The 450 mm seats are also available with an opening in the seat, in Anthracite or White.

What else you need: every seat in this range mounts on a horizontal PLUS wall track, which is not included and must be ordered separately. Pressalit's adjustable PLUS front and back supports (450 mm and 310 mm versions) are available as an optional extra.

Red, Dark Blue and Lime Green are special colours and cost a little more than Anthracite and White.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wall track included?

No. These seats fit a horizontal PLUS wall track, which is sold separately. Call us on 0333 772 4162 if you would like help choosing the right track length.

Can the height be changed while someone is sitting on the seat?

Yes on the electric model – the wired hand control raises and lowers the seat with the user seated. The manual models are adjusted by hand.

Which seat is best for a child?

Pressalit designs the 310 mm seat for children and small adults. It has a 310 x 365 mm seat, back and armrests and 250 mm of manual height adjustment.

How do I clean the seat?

Pressalit recommends hot water or a mild soap solution, then wiping with a soft cloth wrung out in clean water. Avoid chlorine-based, corrosive or abrasive cleaners.
