Description
Pressalit PLUS Support Arm – Sideways Adjustable, Choice of Length & Colour (R3814)
A counter-balanced Pressalit PLUS support arm designed to hang on a horizontal PLUS wall track. It slides sideways along the track and lifts on and off without tools, so it can be positioned exactly where the user needs it – or moved from the toilet to the shower and back again.
It gives secure support when sitting down on or standing up from the toilet, and folds up against the wall when a carer or wheelchair needs the space. The height is fixed by the track position; if you also need height adjustment, see the PLUS Support Arm – Height & Sideways Adjustable.
Key features & benefits
- Sideways adjustable along a horizontal PLUS wall track
- Easy to lift on and off the track and move between locations
- Integrated counter-balance for smooth, controlled movement between the horizontal and upright positions
- Oval arm profile that is comfortable to lean on and push against
- Enlarged end makes it easier to pull forward from a seated position and shows clearly where the arm finishes
- Soft, slip-resistant grip surface that feels warm to the touch, with an easy-grip profile
- Folds up against the wall when not in use to free up space for transfers and carers
- Underside shaped to take PLUS accessories such as a paper holder, flush button or shower curtain
- Red Dot Product Design Award winner (2018), designed by Rasmus Thygesen
- Maximum user weight 150 kg; static tested to 700 kg near the wall, 425 kg mid-arm and 225 kg at the tip
How to choose
Length: the 700 mm arm has a total projection of 730 mm and suits toilet pans projecting around 540–550 mm. The 850 mm arm projects 880 mm for longer pans, such as 700 mm projection accessible toilets.
Hand: the sideways adjustable arm is listed by Pressalit UK as a right hand operated model.
Colour: White and Anthracite Grey are the standard colours. Red, Dark Blue and Lime Green are special colours that cost a little more and take longer to make, and their high-contrast finish makes the arm stand out clearly against a pale wall.
What else you need: a horizontal Pressalit PLUS wall track (not included) fixed to a suitable wall. One track can carry arms, a shower seat and other PLUS accessories, which is why this arm is popular in shower rooms and Changing Places toilets.
