Pressalit PLUS wash basin brackets put the basin at the right height for every user – lower for someone seated in a wheelchair, higher for someone standing or a carer assisting. They are designed for the MATRIX SMALL and MATRIX CURVE wash basins but suit any bolt-mounted basin, and they are the most flexible way to create a height adjustable basin in an accessible bathroom, care home, hospital or Changing Places toilet.

Choose between wall-mounted brackets, which fix directly to the wall (or to a PLUS track), and track-mounted brackets, which hang on a PLUS horizontal wall track and also slide sideways – useful for bringing the basin within reach of the toilet. Then choose how the height is adjusted: electrically, with gas assistance, or manually for occasional changes.

Which PLUS bracket do I need?

• Electric (lever or wired hand control) – the best choice where the height will be changed often or by the user themselves. Needs a 230 V supply.
• Gas-assisted (lever control) – stepless, power-free adjustment that is light to operate. Ideal where there is no mains power at the basin.
• Manual (lever control) – a lower-cost option for infrequent adjustment only, because the person adjusting supports the weight of the basin and part of the bracket. Where frequent adjustment is expected, Pressalit recommends the gas-assisted or electric versions.
• Fixed height, sideways only (R4560) – for a basin that needs to slide along the track but not change height.

Wall-mounted or track-mounted?

Wall-mounted brackets (R4750, R4751, R4650, R4550112) fix to the wall and can also be fitted to PLUS wall tracks. Track-mounted brackets (R4780, R4781, R4680, R4580112, R4560) are made for a PLUS horizontal wall track (not included) and add manual sideways adjustment.

• A wash basin – MATRIX SMALL or MATRIX CURVE are recommended.
• A flexible feed and waste system – Pressalit recommends R2071, R2075 or R2077 for wall-mounted brackets and R2074, R2075 or R2077 for track-mounted brackets (UK market).
• A mounting kit for wall-mounted brackets – not included; choose to suit your wall type from the technical datasheet.
• A mixer tap – for example the TMV3-rated Pressalit RT623.

Frequently asked questions

Can someone lean on the basin?

The bracket carries the basin plus the force of a user leaning on it or pushing up from sitting, but neither the basin nor the bracket is designed to carry a person's full body weight. Pressalit tests to ISO 17966.

Which version can be used without electricity?

The gas-assisted (R4650, R4680) and manual lever (R4550112, R4580112) versions need no power.

Is the wall track included with the track-mounted brackets?

No – the PLUS horizontal wall track is sold separately in lengths from 600 mm to 3900 mm.

My basin is lighter than 16 kg – will the gas version work?

The standard gas cylinder suits basins of 16–22 kg. Pressalit can supply versions for 8–12 kg or 12–16 kg basins to special order – call us on 0333 772 4162.
