Sold by the box – 20 tiles per box, covering around 0.80m². Each 200x200mm tile is 0.04m², so a box works out at roughly £38.25 per m² (£1.53 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

A plain mid grey square, 200x200mm, with a matt glaze. It matches the ground colour of the grey terrazzo tile exactly, which is the main reason to buy it, though as a straightforward grey it also works alone on a bathroom floor or as a kitchen splashback.

The small format lays in a neat grid and takes a contrasting grout well. Combine it with the grey terrazzo as a checkerboard, run the plain tile as a border around a terrazzo centre, or use it on the floor with terrazzo on the wall. Hallways, cloakrooms and utility rooms suit it too.

Ceramic, matt, rated for indoor walls and floors in any of the usual rooms. Boxes of twenty tiles cover 0.80m², and the tile is sold in full boxes only. This colour is on limited stock, so order the full amount for the job at once rather than relying on a top-up later.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.80 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix with a flexible adhesive on either walls or floors, and make sure floor tiles are solidly bedded with no hollow spots. Grout joints of 2 to 3mm keep the small squares in a tidy grid. Mix tiles across boxes. Set out from the room centre so edge cuts are balanced.
