Southampton Silver Grey Victorian Matt Porcelain Decorative Inset Floor Tile 93x93mm (Per Sheet)

Priced per sheet. Each 93x93mm sheet is supplied individually, so order the exact number you need.

A decorative inset for the Southampton Victorian floor. The 93x93mm sheet carries a silver grey geometric design made from precision-cut porcelain pieces, pre-mounted on a mesh backing so it drops into the floor as a single unit in place of one plain tile.

Use it sparingly. One inset at the centre of a chequerboard, one at each corner of a plain field or a line of them down a hallway is usually enough. Because it is sold per sheet, you order exactly the number of insets your pattern needs.

Porcelain and matt, the same size and surface as the plain white, black, beige and red tiles in the range, and for indoor floors in hallways, kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories and living rooms. It sits flush with the plain tiles once laid, so there is no change in level.

Specification

Working out how many you need

Measure the area or run you are covering, allow 10% extra for cuts and breakages, and order the full quantity together so everything comes from the same batch.

Fitting notes

Mark the inset positions on your setting-out before laying the plain tiles, and leave a 93x93mm gap at each. Bed the sheet in a flexible cementitious adhesive with a fine-notched trowel, press it flat and level with the surrounding tiles and keep the same 2 to 3mm joint all round. Grout with a flexible grout.

Southampton is a set of small 93x93mm Victorian-style floor tiles in plain white, black, beige and red, plus this silver grey decorative inset sheet, so you can lay a chequerboard, a plain field or a simple geometric design and set the inset in as a feature. The Sag Harbor black & red and black & white border and corner sheets frame this floor in the traditional way. See every Southampton tile.
