Stonington Amber Handmade Effect Gloss Ceramic Wall Tile 70x140mm (Per Box of 25 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 25 tiles per box, covering around 0.25m². Each 70x140mm tile is 0.01m², so a box works out at roughly £60.40 per m² (£0.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Amber is the warm one: a honey-orange glaze with a fine crackle running through it, so each 70x140mm brick has a web of hairline lines under the gloss. The tone shifts from golden to deeper orange across the tiles, which is part of the handmade character.

There are 25 tiles to a box, covering 0.25m². It makes a glowing kitchen splashback, a warm band in a bathroom or a single feature wall in a hallway, and it sits well with the forest green and burgundy from the same range for a rich, autumnal mix. Stack or offset as you prefer.

This is a glazed ceramic for indoor walls, and unlike the other colours its glaze is a crackle finish. The fine cracks are open, so the tile must be sealed before grouting or the grout will stain them. Once sealed it wipes clean like any gloss tile. Tiles vary by design.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.25 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix with a standard wall adhesive on a flat, dry wall. Before grouting, seal the face with a solvent-based sealer or a temporary protection sealer and test on a spare tile first, as the crackle glaze will otherwise pick up grout. Use a 2 to 3mm joint and lay from mixed boxes.
