Stonington Atlantic Blue Handmade Effect Gloss Ceramic Wall Tile 70x140mm (Per Box of 25 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 25 tiles per box, covering around 0.25m². Each 70x140mm tile is 0.01m², so a box works out at roughly £60.40 per m² (£0.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Atlantic blue is a clear mid blue, the colour of open sea, under a gloss glaze that gives each 70x140mm brick a soft, watery shine. The surface has the gentle waviness of a handmade tile, so a wall of it moves in the light rather than sitting flat.

Each box of 25 covers 0.25m². It makes a lively bathroom wall or shower, a kitchen splashback against white units, or a feature band in a stacked bond. It sits between the paler nordic blue and the deeper petrol and navy in the range, so the four blues can be graded across a wall.

A glazed ceramic tile for indoor walls. It is thin, light and easy to cut, and the gloss wipes clean with water. The blue varies subtly from tile to tile as part of the handmade look, which is more noticeable on a strong colour than on white, so lay from mixed boxes.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.25 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix with a standard wall adhesive on a flat, dry background using a small notched trowel. Set out so cuts are balanced either side of the wall. A 2 to 3mm joint with a white grout gives a fresh look; a blue-grey grout keeps the colour solid. Take tiles from several boxes at once.

Atlantic blue is the middle of four Stonington blues; alongside nordic, petrol and navy the range has white, two greys, black, forest green, amber and burgundy, all 70x140mm gloss ceramic bricks for single-colour walls or mixed panels. See every Stonington tile.
