Sold by the box – 25 tiles per box, covering around 0.25m². Each 70x140mm tile is 0.01m², so a box works out at roughly £60.40 per m² (£0.60 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

A small 70x140mm ceramic brick in bright white, glazed to a gloss that ripples slightly across the face like a hand-pressed tile. The surface is not dead flat, so light moves over a wall of them and gives a soft shimmer rather than a hard shine.

Twenty-five tiles per box cover 0.25m². Stack them in straight columns for a modern grid, offset them in a brick bond for a classic metro look, or stand them vertically behind a hob. Being small, they turn into niches and around windows with few awkward cuts.

It is a glazed ceramic for indoor walls only. Gloss ceramic is light to handle, easy to cut with a manual cutter and wipes clean with a damp cloth, which suits kitchen splashbacks and shower walls. The slight surface variation is intended and part of the handmade look.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.25 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix to a flat, dry wall with a standard ready-mixed or powder wall adhesive, using a small notched trowel. Leave a 2 to 3mm joint; a white grout keeps the wall uniform, a grey one picks out the brick pattern. Mix tiles from several boxes so the glaze variation is spread evenly.
