Westport Black Matt Ceramic Wall Tile 100x300mm (Per Box of 36 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 36 tiles per box, covering around 1.08m². Each 100x300mm tile is 0.03m², so a box works out at roughly £35.00 per m² (£1.05 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

A solid black ceramic wall tile with a matt glaze, in the Westport 100x300mm brick size. The matt surface takes the shine out of the black, so it reads as a soft, deep charcoal-black rather than a mirror. It is a bold choice for a shower wall or a splashback.

Thirty-six tiles make a box and cover 1.08m². Lay them horizontally in a half-bond, vertically for height, or alternate with Westport white or grey for a striped feature panel. Grout colour changes the look completely: black to blend, white to frame each brick.

The tile is ceramic and for walls only; it is not rated for floors. It is suitable indoors in bathrooms, wet rooms, kitchens, hallways and living rooms. A matt black shows dust and soap residue more than a gloss, so wipe down regularly.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.08 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fix with a wall tile adhesive on a flat, dry wall using a 6mm notched trowel. Use 2-3mm spacers and a flexible grout; dark grey or black hides the joints, white makes them a feature. Not for floor use. Keep tiles from different boxes mixed on larger walls.
