A structured decor for walls, in the Whidbey grey stone look. The 300x600mm ceramic tile carries a raised relief across its face, so the same mid grey as the plain tile gains shadow and texture under light. It is the piece to use on one wall when the rest of the room is in the plain grey.

Rectified edges let the relief run from one tile to the next with only a slim joint between, which keeps the pattern reading as a single textured surface. Lay it stacked or in a brick bond behind a bath, a basin or along a hallway wall. It is for interior walls only.

Ceramic wall tiles are lighter than porcelain and easier to cut, which helps when working the relief around corners and fittings. The grey matches the Whidbey 592x592mm porcelain floor and the plain ceramic wall tiles. Six tiles per box, 1.08 square metres.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.08 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

This is a wall tile only; do not use it on floors. Fix with a flexible wall tile adhesive, back-buttering so the relief is supported. Dry-lay first so the texture lines up across tiles, and start from a level line. Use a 2mm joint with levelling clips. Grout in small areas and sponge the relief clean before the grout sets.
