Sold by the box – 3 tiles per box, covering around 1.08m². Each 600x600mm tile is 0.36m², so a box works out at roughly £46.02 per m² (£16.57 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Black porcelain with a textured surface that grips when wet. The matt-textured black is deep and even, and it hides marks and soap residue well in a shower area. The manufacturer rates it for external use too, so it suits a dark patio or path.

Three 600x600mm tiles come in a box, covering 1.08m². The large square needs few joints and lays in a straight grid. Rectified edges allow a 2-3mm joint with a black grout, keeping the floor as one dark surface.

The tile is full-bodied porcelain, so cuts and chips show the same black. Suitable areas listed by the manufacturer include bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories, hallways, living areas and outdoors. As the manufacturer rates it for outdoor use, it can continue from a kitchen floor onto a terrace.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 1.08 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Fit with a flexible porcelain adhesive on a full bed, or an external-grade adhesive and grout outdoors with a fall for drainage. The textured face traps grout, so use a black grout, work in small sections and sponge off before it sets. Keep a 2-3mm joint to suit the rectified edge.
