Wilmington Black Plain Matt Porcelain Wall & Floor Tile 300x600mm (Per Box of 5 Tiles)

Sold by the box – 5 tiles per box, covering around 0.90m². Each 300x600mm tile is 0.18m², so a box works out at roughly £46.00 per m² (£8.28 a tile). We only supply full boxes.

Black porcelain with a natural matt surface. Without a sheen the black looks soft and velvety, and it does not show fingerprints or water spots the way a polished black does. It gives a bathroom or kitchen a strong, modern base.

The 300x600mm tile lays in a brick bond for a classic look or a straight stack for a cleaner grid. Five tiles per box, covering 0.9m². Rectified edges mean a 2-3mm joint, so a black grout keeps the surface unbroken.

The porcelain is full-bodied with the black running through, so cut edges and any chips stay black. Rated for walls and floors in bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories, hallways and living areas, and for commercial as well as home use.

Working out how many boxes

Measure the wall or floor in square metres, add 10% for cuts and breakages, divide by 0.90 and round up to the next whole box. Order everything you need in one go – shade can vary a little between production batches, and buying all your boxes together keeps the whole area from the same run.

Fitting notes

Bed on a flexible cementitious adhesive for porcelain, fully bedded on floors. Use a black or charcoal grout at 2-3mm and wash it off the matt face before it dries, as grout haze shows clearly on black. Keep the layout symmetrical by setting out from the centre.
