The Kartell K-VIT Nero Round range is matt black metalwork with soft, rounded forms. This is the wall mounted fixed head and arm — the overhead drencher and the arm that carries it, supplied together as one item.

Head and arm together

Both parts come in the box. You don't need to buy an arm separately, and because the two are matched you avoid the mismatch in tone that can happen when a head and arm come from different ranges.

The arm is wall mounted, so it fixes to the wall behind the shower rather than dropping from the ceiling. That suits most installations and avoids running pipework through a ceiling void.

What you need to run it

A fixed head needs a valve to feed it. Either the Nero Round concealed valve if the head is your only outlet, or the valve with diverter if you also want a handset on a slide rail.

Living with matt black

Matt black shows limescale and water spotting more than chrome. A shower head sits directly in the spray, so hard water areas will see marking sooner. Wipe it dry after use to keep it looking sharp.

Never use abrasive cleaners or limescale remover. The finish is a coating rather than plating, and harsh chemicals will dull or strip it. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth only.
