Carron Status Bath – White Gloss (All Sizes)

Carron Status Bath – White Gloss (All Sizes)

The Carron Status is a D-shaped bath: square at one end to sit against a wall, and sweeping into a full curve at the other, so it finishes the run rather than stopping abruptly. It suits a bathroom where one end of the bath is on show. Inside it is a single ended bath with a smooth, rounded interior.

Because of the curved end it comes in left and right hand versions, in three sizes. Every one is available in Carron's standard 5mm acrylic, with a 30-year warranty, or Carronite, Carron's reinforced finish, with a 40-year warranty. Both are made in Britain by Carron, whose manufacturing history goes back to 1759.

Left hand or right hand?

Stand facing where the bath will go. On a left hand Status the curved end is on your left; on a right hand Status it is on your right. The square end goes against the wall. Get this right before you order – a Status in the wrong hand will not fit the room.

5mm acrylic or Carronite?

Choose your size

Weights are shown as 5mm acrylic / Carronite. All three sizes sit at 540mm to the rim.

Panels for the Status

The Status takes a one-piece shaped panel that wraps around the curved end, so there is no separate end panel. Each bath size has its own panel – they are not interchangeable, even where the stated dimensions look similar.

Codes are shown as standard / Carronite. Match the panel finish to the bath finish.

Before you order

• Check the hand. Decide which end the curve goes – see above.
• Measure the recess and the open end. The curved end needs clear space around it, so check it against doors, radiators and anything else nearby.
• Order the panel for your exact bath size. The Status panels are shaped and size-specific.
• Check the route in. Up to 1690 x 795mm, the bath has to pass through doorways, round landings and up the stairs – measure any tight turn before delivery day.
• Taps, waste and panels are sold separately.
• Think about the floor. Full to capacity a Status holds between 197 and 250kg of water before anyone gets in.

Fitting tips

Install the bath with Carron's installation kit, levelled so the rim sits at 540mm – the height its panel is made to. Fill the bath with water before running the silicone seal along the walls, so the joint cures with the bath at its heaviest and won't pull away the first time someone gets in.
