Kartell K-VIT G4K Bath Filler Chrome (TAP111G4K)

The Kartell K-VIT G4K range is the budget end of the Kartell brassware line — plain, single-lever, chrome, and priced for a rental, a second bathroom, or a job where the taps need to work rather than impress.

This is the bath filler: a deck-mounted tap that sits on the rim of the bath and fills it, with no shower function.

Bath filler or bath shower mixer?

A bath filler (this one) just fills the bath. Choose it where you have a separate shower, or no shower over the bath at all.

A bath shower mixer adds a diverter and a handset so you can shower over the bath. It's only a little more, and in a second bathroom or a flat it often saves fitting a separate shower altogether — worth the difference if there's no shower already.

What you're getting for the money

A simple tap, but with a solid brass body rather than zinc alloy, a ceramic disc cartridge so it shouldn't drip, and a lifetime guarantee on the body. That combination is unusual at this price.

Before you order

Bath fillers use 3/4" BSP connections — larger than the 1/2" on basin taps — so check your existing tails.

Suitable for low pressure systems, so it works on gravity-fed plumbing — though on low pressure any bath tap fills slowly. That's the system, not the tap.

Note that Kartell's own spec sheet lists a click waste with this tap. A click waste is a basin fitting, not a bath one, so treat that as a misprint on their part — assume you'll need a bath waste and overflow set separately and you won't be caught out.
