The Kartell K-VIT Plan range is round-bodied and quietly contemporary. This is the mono bidet mixer — the matching tap for a bidet, so the fitting looks part of the same scheme as the basin and bath.

It's not a basin mixer

Worth being clear, because they look similar. A bidet mixer sits lower and with a shorter spout than a basin tap, and is designed for the shape and use of a bidet. Fitting a basin mixer to a bidet usually means the spout sits too high and too far back.

If you're looking for a basin tap in this range, you want the Plan mono basin mixer — and that one includes a waste, which this doesn't.

Before you order

Check your bidet has a single tap hole. Some are drilled for two.

The waste is sold separately. A bidet needs a specific waste, usually a pop-up or slotted type — a basin waste won't always suit.

Water pressure

Suitable for low pressure systems, so it works on gravity-fed plumbing as well as mains pressure.

Living with it

The ceramic disc cartridge with quarter-turn operation is smooth and far less prone to dripping than a washer tap.
