Kartell K-VIT Nero Round Wall Mounted Bath Spout – Matt Black (TAP416NR)

The Kartell K-VIT Nero Round range is a clean, round, minimal collection of brassware in matt black. This is the wall mounted bath spout — a plain outlet that fixes to the wall above the bath and delivers water into it.

It's a spout, not a tap

Worth being clear: this has no handles and no valve. It's the outlet only. Kartell's own spec puts it plainly — it's controlled by a shower valve, sold separately. That valve is normally a concealed thermostatic or manual one set into the wall, feeding the spout and often a shower head as well.

If you want a wall-mounted tap you can turn on and off at the bath, this isn't it. You need a spout plus a valve, and they're bought separately. Make sure the valve you choose is also matt black, or the two won't match.

Before you order

The pipework runs inside the wall, so the position and height need fixing before boarding and tiling. Set it high enough to clear the bath rim comfortably and far enough in that water lands well inside the bath — a spout set too close to the edge will run down the outside.

At 222mm long it projects a fair way from the wall, which helps land water centrally. A stud wall needs noggins to fix into; a solid wall needs chasing.

The waste is sold separately, and you'll want a matching black one.

Living with matt black

Matt black shows limescale and water spotting more than chrome, and a bath spout sits in the splash zone. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth only — never abrasives or limescale remover.

Nero Round is the matt black version of a design Kartell also make in polished chrome as the Kore range and brushed brass as Ottone. Pair it with the Nero Round wall mounted basin mixer for a consistent look.
