Kartell K-VIT KV6 Frameless Shower Side Panel – Chrome (All Sizes)

The Kartell K-VIT KV6 frameless side panel is the second half of a corner shower. Pair it at right angles with a KV6 bi-fold, pivot or sliding door and you get a two-sided enclosure that stands away from the wall, rather than being boxed into a recess.

Frameless means there's no vertical post down the outer edge — just a wall profile at the back and polished glass elsewhere. It looks considerably lighter than a framed panel, and there's one less channel to collect limescale.

Measuring up

The side panel is the depth of your shower, measured out from the wall the door sits in. Like the doors it has an adjustment range, though a tighter one — about 20mm rather than 40mm — because the panel only adjusts at the wall profile.

Measure at floor level and at the top, and work to the narrowest. A common mistake is ordering the side panel to match the door size: they're independent. A 900mm door with a 760mm panel is a perfectly normal combination if that's the shape of your corner.

Sizes, adjustment ranges and codes

Glass

The side panel is 6mm toughened safety glass — thicker than the 4mm used on the KV6 bi-fold door, and the same as the KV6 pivot and sliding doors. Pairing a 6mm panel with a 4mm bi-fold is normal and how Kartell sell the range; the panel simply feels a little more substantial.

These are heavy sheets of glass — the 900mm panel is 26.4kg — so treat fitting as a two-person job.
