Bracket or slide rail?

Both give you a handset. The difference is how it's held.

A slide rail kit puts the handset on a vertical rail so the height adjusts — better for a family where people are different heights, or where you want to shower with the handset in place.

This bracket parks the handset at one fixed point on the wall, and combines the outlet, bracket, handset and hose in a single piece. It's cleaner and less visually busy — no rail on the wall — and it's the neater choice when you already have a fixed overhead drencher doing the actual showering and the handset is just for rinsing and cleaning.

One thing it saves you

Because the outlet is built into the bracket, you don't need a separate outlet elbow — unlike a slide rail kit, which does. Worth factoring into the comparison, as it closes part of the price gap.

The brushed surface hides water spotting and limescale better than a mirror finish. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth; avoid abrasives and limescale remover.
